During University terms and for the great services of the year St Michael’s is the home of Cantores Michaelis the choral scholars of the University of Southampton funded by the Friends of St Michael’s Church. The ten scholars and organ scholar accompany our services and specialise in Gregorian Chant and Tudor Music!
The Director of Cantores is Keith Davis the Head of Vocal Studies at Southampton University and former professor of voice at the Royal College of Music.

St Michael’s has a two manual Walker organ, a Bechstein Model C piano and a a….Harpsichord on loan from the University Music Department.
